It all started with as making t-shirts to offset medical costs for a younger brother, born with a congenital heart defect. It then turned into a t-shirt to offset medical costs for an older brother diagnosed with cancer... And has now morphed into one t-shirt that represents both our very sweet, medically complex boys, and will hopefully continue to help us offset another year full of surprises.

In 2026 so far we have had extra surprise lab work, a few Emergency Room visits, a surprise hospital admission all for Bryce. For Shaw, we started with an annual cardiology visit where we scheduled a cardia cath for after school finished. We then had a few events of low oxygen and an Emergency Room visit for him too, the same week as his brother (Easter week was pretty busy). So we decided to move up his procedure, except when we finally got to the procedure they weren't able to safely do what he needed. Cue 2 new medications and a lot more anxiety. That's just the cliff notes, it's been a busy year.

These shirts have been a fun and easy way for our family and friends to know how to support us but we wanted something that represented both of our wild boys. We reached out to our amazing friend Zach about our hopes for this design and he did more with it than we could ever have imagined.
