On June 28, 2026, the Vermont Chargers were crowned champions of the 2026 USPSA Founders Cup after defeating the Rose City Renegades 2-0 in the championship match, capping off a dominant tournament performance and earning promotion to next season's Presidents Cup.

The Chargers overcame an early surge from the Renegades before settling into their game and taking control of the match. Midway through the first half, Mathieu Desroches delivered a precise set piece across the goal area to Seth Boulanger, who scored to give Vermont a 1-0 lead.

Rose City continued to create scoring opportunities throughout the match, but the Chargers' defense consistently rose to the challenge. In the second half, Desroches extended the lead to 2-0 by battling through heavy defensive pressure to score what proved to be the final goal. Vermont maintained its defensive discipline through the final whistle to secure the title.

The championship concluded an outstanding tournament for the Chargers, who finished with a 6-1 record while outscoring opponents 27-3. Each player who competed for Vermont during the tournament scored at least one goal, underscoring the team's balanced offensive attack.
