Painted by local ecologist and artist Elinor Theodoria Kwitney Stapylton with water from the Hudson River Watershed using all natural handcrafted watercolor paints, pigments, and binders from the Indigenous artists at Beam Paints. Hudson River scene viewing (left to right) Overlook, Indian Head, and High Peak ridelines. The Sloop Clearwater moves upriver on a sunset sail in the background close to the Kingston home dock. In the foreground Atlantic Sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrinchus oxyrinchus) breach out of the water, creating splashes in the the Cyanobacteria blooms while Glass American Eels (Anguilla rostrata) at varying pigmentation stages migrate their way upstream from the Sargasso Sea and into the Hudson River estuary tributaries.
