On April 19 to 20, 2026, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) killed 19 people in Barangay Salamanca, Toboso, Negros Occidental. One of those killed was Lyle Prijoles.
Lyle is remembered through his advocacy within the Filipino community. He traveled to the Philippines to learn and understand directly from the communities in Negros Occidental. His legacy lives on through the stories he?s been able to share and the dedication to raising awareness of the hardships faced by communities in the Philippines.
We thank you for keeping Lyle in your thoughts, and his legacy lives on through his family, his friends and comrades, and the stories we continue to share of his bravery and commitment to fighting for human rights in the Philippines. He is a true ?anak ng bayan?.
As the San Francisco Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines (SFCHRP), we honor Lyle for his lifelong advocacy, leadership, and commitment to fighting for a just and lasting peace in the Philippines. All proceeds will go directly to his family and to the Defend Negros Northern CA campaign, a Norcal wide effort calling for Justice for Lyle and Justice for the Negros 19!
