In loving memory of our sweet dad, David Harford who lost his courageous battle with ALS on April 1st, 2026. Thank you for helping us reach our ALS fundraising goal in his honor.
There?s something to be said about watching someone you love more than life itself get to live on borrowed time. On one hand you grieve tremendously, hating what could have and should have been. And on the other, nothing but love and gratitude for the time you weren?t promised. To say ALS changed us is an understatement. It wasn?t a diagnosis we ever thought we would hear beyond our schooling. The last 7 years have been full of hard moments, sad ones, and times where we have been tested in ways I wish upon no one. But through it all our dad smiled. He pushed. And he lived. He lived when everyone else counted him out. He lived when people told us no. He smiled through the pain and the unbelievable suffering he endured day in and out, and to be able to witness such strength and determination is something we will carry forever. We don?t know what tomorrow will bring but it?s with the deepest regret and sadness in our souls that we know it won?t bring our dad a tomorrow. We find peace in knowing he?s free. We find peace in knowing both he and we gave ALS it all. And that the borrowed time we had, will always be cherished.
For those of you who don't know, "Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed." (See ALS Website for more information.)
Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS? on August 1, 2026.
Special thanks to Ryan Marcey for the t-shirt design.
