About the shirt: The text from this shirt comes from the song, "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing," written by Robert Robertson. In this song, there is another line: "Here I raise mine ebenezer." An ebenezer is a stone of hope or a stone of help. Even as we wander, as we might be prone to do, we are offered a stone of hope and help.
About the designer: My name is Elijah, and I'm a faith leader and community organizer in Jonesboro, AR. I'm trans, queer, and disabled, and I do my best to help create accessible, sacred communities for marginalized people here in the rural South. Last year I was fired from my position as a pastor due to issues regarding my gender identity and expression. I?m now shifting my energy into caring for my body and soul, my community, and the earth in new ways.
About the funds: I?m on disability income, which does not cover all of my basic needs. Thankfully I?m preparing to move to a new area this Spring where living expenses will be more affordable. In the meantime, I?m designing shirts and art to help cover my medical bills and the cost of my move. I?m feeling prone to wander?to a new home and a better life ahead.
Thanks for supporting my shop!
