Hi guys.
Many of you have asked me how you can help out while I am undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatment for my cancer.
I am so overwhelmed by the sheer number of people who have reached out and offered love and support.
There is, unfortunately, one thing I really need right now. I need money. I hate to admit it, but I do. Being out of work and paying for all of my living needs, plus transportation to the multitudes of scans, appointments, simulations, etc, is simply impossible.
In the last week, I have spent over $2000 on medical and transportation costs alone.
I have an appointment with two social workers this week, one from the NYU Langone system, and another from my insurance company. I am going to have them connect me with some resources for financial support in addition to my other needs.
QBert and I are also planning a couple of fund raising projects, including a benefit evening of dance and music with a reception, and a cookbook of KEVIN'S BIGGEST KITCHEN HITS: Cooking to Fight Cancer.
I would like to take one second to thank the School of American Ballet. They have been phenomenally supportive during this time. SAB has gone above and beyond the legal required benefits that any employer is required to provide for temporarily disabled workers!
Regardless, I am just not bringing in enough to take care of this mountain of bills that's starting to crush me.
If you don't want to buy a shirt you can conate money to my Cashapp ($Developpe), Venmo (@Kevin-Carpenter-69), Zelle (phone: 646-764-3964, email [email protected]), or PayPal ([email protected])
Zelle and Venmo are preferred, but anything works.
With y'alls help, I can overcome these financial obstacles, kick cancer's BUTT, and get back to my piano and my dance students, where I belong, ASAP.
I promise to streamline my fundraising efforts over the next few days, but in the meantime, I am having to send out a SOS.
You guys are wonderful.
