At just 23 years old, Ian Sbar is facing a battle that no young adult should ever have to endure.

After developing severe heart failure, Ian's life changed overnight. What began as a medical emergency quickly turned into a fight for survival. Today, he remains hospitalized at UH Cleveland, where he has been approved and listed for a heart transplant.

While waiting for the call that could save his life, Ian is being supported by advanced mechanical heart devices that are helping his body continue to function until a donor heart becomes available. His days are filled with constant monitoring, medications, procedures, blood draws, physical therapy, and difficult conversations about the risks that come with both his condition and the transplant process.

Despite everything, Ian continues to show incredible strength and resilience.
