At Sidney Ridge, we explore the outdoors, get dirty, and dream big! We gently guide our kids to feed their curious minds while caring for themselves, others, and our environment.

We generally spend as much of our time outdoors as possible. That said, shelter is still necessary when conditions are unsafe, or when kids need a sensory break. Since our launch in 2022, we've used our home's basement as our shelter and indoor playspace.

The primary goal of this fundraising campaign is to build a standalone classroom tailored more specifically to our vision. We've begun clearing a particular space on our property that will more fully immerse our students in nature? picture an area framed by flora, a babbling creek nearby, stacks of felled trees waiting to be climbed, and trails leading to additional play areas.

Our new classroom will also simplify other logistics. Parents won't need to worry about getting their cars up our driveway's steep hill. A teacher could do dishes or other noisy tasks in our home during quiet time without waking the kids. When we have more control over the construction of our space, we can cater the materials, layout, and features more closely to the needs of our program.
