Suicide affects so many lives, not just the ones who are struggling with their own thoughts, or those who lost their own battle, but their family and friends that are left behind and listed as the "survived bys". It is my mission and my goal to talk about suicide and mental health so much that it gets less and less stigmatized as time goes on; by continuing to talk about suicide, we continue to fight it and show our support to those that are struggling with thoughts of taking themselves out of "The Game". We need to show them that we love them, and that they are enough.

What is "The Game"?

"The Game" is essentially a mind game that once you know about it, you are forever playing, but if you think about the game, you lose the game and must announce such; you only win by not thinking about it. Yes, it is essentially unwinnable, but that isn't life? The point is HOW you play, an making the best out of it.

My brother and I learned about this simple yet frustrating game when we were teenagers and is something that even as very young adults, we continued to play. The panda was an animal that always made my brother think of The Game and lose it, but fondly and lightheartedly- rather than irritated and annoyed.

In these campaigns, I have decided to use "The Game" as a metaphor for life and the need to stay, I also modeled our panda as an embodiment of my brother- a little rough, but kind and chill all the same. Life gets hard and sometimes we don't accomplish what we want, but there is always a new opportunity and way to continue after each failure. Keep playing and STAY.IN.THE.GAME.!
