Life turned upside down for our family this April. What began as a kidney stone turned into a severe infection and septic shock, putting me in the Critical Care Unit for four days and the hospital for a total of twelve. Since then, I?ve been unable to work and have focused on recovery from the encephalopathy that affected my speech and mobility.
