As a 501(c)(3) publicly funded not-for-profit organization, Sunrise North Therapeutic Riding, like similar organizations, struggles each year to secure adequate program revenues to fund the work that we do in providing equine assisted therapy activities for children and adults with special needs. Rider fees for therapy lessons, which we try to keep reasonable and affordable, cover only a portion of the overall cost of running the program and caring for our horses. We must rely on fundraising and other donations, such as those from local businesses, community organizations and individuals, to make up the difference.
