The Story of Our Community Garden

Our Community Garden began with Trudy Aardema's simple idea ? to use our land to grow produce to bless others. Our Community Garden, named Trudy?s Garden, honors Trudy, whose vision and care feeds many through our weekly Community Meal.

During our inaugural season, the garden provided hundreds of pounds of vegetables that go directly to our weekly Community Meal and food ministries around the County. Along the way, it has also become a place of connection and purpose ? where people of all ages work side by side, share stories, and enjoy God?s creation.

What started as a few raised beds has grown into a thriving space where volunteers come together to plant, tend, and harvest fresh produce for those in need. Through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of our congregation, Trudy's Garden continues to grow?both in produce and in the relationships it cultivates.
